Vietnamese Engagement Bouquet 05/17/2010
I was contacted by a very kind man, looking to give his bride-to-be something special. He is Vietnamese and was going to be having his Traditional Engagment Ceremony the following weekend. He wanted to give his fiancee a bouquet that had meaning. Not just, "5 pink roses, 5 red peonies, 17 stephanotis, etc., etc., etc." I was excited to say the least. It is not often that artists are commisioned to design around a feeling. Well, after quite a bit of research, I designed something for the intended. I love the thoughtfulness behind this. Esthetically, it is pleasing, but beyond that, deeper than that, it is pleasing to the soul. Here is the bouquet. It means "fidelity, joy, uniting souls and of course, love.
